For the Web 2.0 I chose the game section since I am interested in games online. The number one was Arcaplay http://arcaplay.com/. I’m not sure if this site is going to help the library but it would definitely be fun for the children. Maybe we might be able to have a game programmer from the library staff make games for children to play and learn from.
For Webware, I chose digital photography since I like to take pictures and share them with my family. So I chose http://www.picnik.com/ . It is new but it let’s us edit our photos online. It is very useful. I think this would be another thing to show on the project for “27 Things” for library staff to do. It is better than just uploading photos.
Games in libraries is a very hot topic right now. This week in Monterey there is a big librarian conference and dozens of participants paid extra to attend a special workshop on gaming in libraries. Good work!
